Course Description
Join us at the beautiful Rignana Estate for a three-day immersive lampshade-making retreat inspired by the natural beauty, colours, and light of the Tuscan countryside.
Hosted by Josephine together with Benedetta this workshop brings together two complementary approaches to bespoke lampshade design; hand-painted paper shades and beautifully crafted fabric shades.
Throughout the course, guests will learn how to develop original designs inspired by the surrounding landscape, gardens, and seasonal flora of Tuscany. Using watercolour and decorative painting techniques, Josephine will guide participants through creating their own patterns and motifs before transferring them onto specialist watercolour paper and constructing finished lampshades by hand.
Benedetta will introduce traditional fabric lampshade techniques, sharing her expertise in working with textiles and refined handcrafted finishes.
